Job Description

  • Overall responsibilities of GL closing and MIF submission
1) Book closing and MIF submission on timely basis without delay
2) Prepare, analyse and submit management reports and presentations for review of CAO and CFO (Closing calls, BU split analysis, cash flow analysis, accounting cost centre report and various ad-hoc reports)
3) Accounting in line with IGAAP and IFRS
4) Close co-ordination with Divisional Controlling during book close and risk management topics
5) Maintain overall accounting risk matrix
6) Perform and deliver result on any management assigned special topics / projects (e.g. IndAS implementation, IFRS 9 etc)
7) Support information requirements of other departments (Treasury, Taxation, Controlling TI & Bus etc)
8) Identify and implement automation initiatives
9) KPI Reporting
10) Prepare Board Meeting deck for accounting topics
  • Audit and assurance
1) Responsible for overall audit co-ordination and closure (IGAAP audit, IFRS audit and Limited Reviews, Hard close, Internal audit).
2) Responsible for preparing schedules and data requests for Tax audit, Transfer Pricing, DSIR audit, R&D accounts handle queries of auditors in respect of these areas
3) Responsible to co-ordinate various certifications and reports from external audit firms (ODI, MoU, Share valuation, impairment etc)
  • Overall responsibilities of Inventory / COGS accounting
1) Submitted monthly inventory report for DICV OpCom. Align the report with key stakeholders (L2 and L3)
2) Ensured accurate reporting of inventory balances in MIF
3) Formulate / devise the FC Inventory report and other relevant reporting formats.
4) Risk management for Inventory function Identify and devise action plan, counter measures
5) Close co-ordination with Material Controlling during book close.
6) Close co-ordination with SCM, procurement and other functions for Inventory accounting topics
7) Identify and implement automation initiatives
8) Present various special topics in FCM - (a) Ageing analysis (b) DIO report (c) NPM Inventory analysis
9) KPI reporting
  • Overall responsibilities of Fixed asset accounting
1 )Ensure completion of book closure process on time month on month
2) Ensure successful completion of audits including Internal, IGAAP, IFRS and Corporate Audit
3) Review and monitor SIPCOT / MoU
4) Ensure closure of any gaps / finding pointed out during the course of audit with the stipulated time or to provide with suitable justification.

2) Provide opportunity for in-house learning and external training to develop personalities, knowledge, sharpen the skills and abilities.
Make suitable proposal for reward and recognition for employees on time
  • Compliance:-
1. Co-ordinate with central accounting for Pre-approval of audit services
2. Ensure the function and team possesses and follow high standard of compliances.
Ensure the team follows the company Compliances norms, rule and regulations.

  • Education
  1. Bachelor of Commerce
  2. Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Experience
  1. 10-17 years of post-qualification experience is a must
  2. working experience in Accounting / Controlling 
  3. Diverse industry experience
  4. Experience in leading projects and successful implementation.
  5. Last 5 years in upper middle management position.
  • Special knowledge
  1. Accounting, Controlling, Taxation, Corporate finance
  2. MIS and Financial Reporting Systems
  3. Financial Models, Financial Due Diligence
  4. Assurance / Audit
  • Other points to note
  1. Worked in Big 4 will be added advantage
  2. Very Good working knowledge on IFRS / IndAS is expected
  3. MNC experiences is preferred
  • Specific knowledge and skill sets 
  1. Expert in accounting (Indian GAAP, IFRS)
  2. Working knowledge on SAP
  3. Experience in project / program management skills (multiple projects)
  4. Strong presentation and communication skills
  5. Expert level knowledge in MS office
